European Piano Mastery Elite Academy ("the Academy", "we", "us" or "our") understands that your privacy matters to you. We are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us when you use this website. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it and how we look after it. By using this website you agree to the terms of the most recent version of this policy. Please also read our Terms and Conditions, which set out the general rules that apply to your use of the site. In this policy "you", "your", "visitor" or "user" means the individual using the site.

Personal and non-personal information

We treat personal information and non-personal information differently, so it is worth explaining what each of them is.

Non-personal information is information that cannot identify you. When you visit the site simply to read about our programmes, your browser may pass on technical details such as browser type, operating system, approximate location and the pages you viewed. Because this information cannot be linked back to you as an individual, there are no restrictions on how we use or share it.

Personal information is information that identifies you as an individual, such as your name, postal address, email address and telephone number. We may collect it when you register for a masterclass or webinar, submit an application or enquiry form, enrol in one of our programmes, take part in a survey or competition, or otherwise choose to send it to us.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and related technologies such as pixels and web beacons. A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a web server. Cookies cannot run programmes or deliver viruses, and they can only be read by a server in the domain that issued them. They allow us to recognise you when you return, remember your preferences, and save you having to re-enter information you have already given us.

A web beacon is a very small, often invisible image that allows the party who placed it to record certain information, such as the browser requesting it, the IP address it was sent to and the time it was viewed. We may use beacons to count visitors to particular pages, to understand how people move through the site, and to see how many of our emails are opened or acted upon.

We may also remove the details that identify you, in which case the remaining information becomes non-personal information and we may treat it accordingly. Finally, we may use your personal information to protect our rights or property, to protect someone's health, safety or welfare, or to comply with a law, regulation, court order or other legal process.

Sharing your personal information

We do not share the personal information collected through this website with unrelated third parties without your permission, except as described in this policy. In the ordinary course of running the Academy we share some information with suppliers who perform services on our behalf, such as email delivery, payment processing, scheduling and hosting. Where we do so, they are permitted to use your information only for the purpose of providing that service to us.

We do not sell, rent, exchange or publish your personal information. Information may pass to a successor organisation in connection with a merger, acquisition or reorganisation of the Academy. For certain transactions, third-party providers such as card processors and banks may collect information directly from you; we do not control how those providers use that information, although we ask them to disclose their practices to you before collecting it.

We may be legally required to disclose personal information in response to a court order, subpoena, warrant, law or regulation, and we may co-operate with law enforcement in investigating users who break our rules or behave unlawfully or harmfully towards others.

Communications

We may contact you from time to time by email, post, telephone or messaging to share information about our masterclasses, programmes, resources and offers. Some features of the site allow you to write to us using an online form; if your message asks for a reply, our answer may repeat some of the personal information you gave us. Please note that we cannot guarantee that email sent to or from us will be secure from interception.

How we keep your information secure

We apply generally accepted technical and operational security measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, alteration and destruction. Only authorised personnel and approved suppliers have access to it, and they are required to treat it as confidential. Despite these measures, no system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we cannot promise that an unauthorised person will never gain access to your information.

This site may link to other websites we think you will find interesting or useful. The Academy is not responsible for the content of those websites or for the way they handle your information.

Public areas and community spaces

Where we provide comment sections, group discussions or other public areas, anything you post there may become visible to others, so please do not share sensitive information in them. Information disclosed publicly online may be collected and used by other people. We are not responsible for the actions or policies of third parties who gather information that users choose to publish in such spaces, and a post appearing in one of them does not mean that the Academy agrees or disagrees with it. Accessing, correcting and deleting your information

You may ask to see, correct, update or delete any personal information you have given us, and you may unsubscribe from our mailing lists at any time. Children's privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information, such as a name or email address, from children under the age of 13. If you believe that we have received information from a child under 13, please contact us so that we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

The Academy may amend this policy at any time. Any changes will be published on this page, and where a change is significant we will also draw attention to it on the site for a period of time.
